What We Look For

At UAP, we’re looking for substitute teachers with a variety of backgrounds and interests to help us achieve our goals for students, and help students succeed. Interested substitutes must hold a minimum of a Bachelor degree. Salary: $120/Day; Half day (4 hours): $60

What You Can DO

• To be considered for a substitute teacher position, you must complete the following application form.

• UAP will contact you if you are selected to move forward in the hiring process. 

 
Main Job Function

1. Follow the lesson plan(s) or assignment left by teacher and ensures students complete all assigned tasks.

2. Maintain a safe environment.

3. Use materials provided by school-based professional or other school personnel.

4. Notify school administration of any unusual incidents which have occurred during the school day.

5. Maintain accurate assessment of student attendance and grades.

6. Leave information concerning the day's activities for the school-based professional.

7. Communicate effectively with students and staff.

8. Manage student behavior in a positive manner.

9. Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor in support of the school goals and objectives.
